Coronavirus (COVID-19) patient information
We understand your concerns during this time of the Coronavirus Pandemic.
We would like to reassure you that as a practice we are up to date with the latest guidelines from NHS England. We are prioritising patients with pain. This means you may have to wait longer than usual for all routine, non-urgent dental care.
Our practices remain open, using strict infection control procedures. We still adhere to social distancing and ask that you wear a face covering whist you are inside the practice.
You may see some changes when it is time for your next appointment. We made these changes to help protect our patients and staff. For example:
- Our practice will communicate with you beforehand to ask some screening questions. You’ll be asked those same questions again at your appointment
- We will ask you to use hand sanitiser when you enter the practice
- We will be taking your temperature using a non contact thermometer
- We no longer offer magazines, children’s toys and so forth, since those items are difficult to clean and disinfect
- Appointments will be managed to allow for social distancing between patients. That might mean that you’re offered fewer options for scheduling your appointment
How you can help:
- With the exception of children and patients with carers, patients should come alone
- A distance of at least 2 metres mush be observed if another patient is present in the dental practice
- Payment should be made by card where possible
- Staff will not shake your hand
- If you show symptoms following appointment booking, you should contact the practice by phone
- Please do not arrive early to the practice. If necessary, you should wait outside the practice
- Please do not arrive without an appointment
- Patients should come wearing a mask if possible or be prepared to wear one
Important Notice for Patients
- If you or anyone in your household has a high temperature or a new and continuous cough – even if it’s mild, you should not come to the practice
Go to NHS.UK to check your symptoms and follow the specialist medical advice. Only call NHS 111 if you can’t get online or your symptoms worsen.
